What happened in the world of tabletop over the last week?
ATGN looked at allegations against Overturn Rising Sands of plagiarism, offering some very compelling evidence based on the Kickstarter campaign. The campaign was eventually suspended by Kickstarter, though at the 11th hour.
While we are on the meteoric rise, and sudden destruction, of Kickstarter games Dr Horrible’s Evil League of Evil: The Board Game burst onto the site only to be cancelled a short time afterwards. Apparently the maker, Lucky Troll Games, didn’t actually have the license. Oops!
The 9th Age was a community created wargame, conceived as a response to the then new Age of Sigmar. Wargame blogger Napoleon this week discussed why the game probably isn’t going to achieve that the creators hoped.
Digital game focused, but super important (as you would know, if you read our Feudum review), Mark Brown looked at the subject of deaf and hard of hearing in the pastime. Many see it as an afterthought, but accessibility should always be a consideration.
Remember ABCon? Derek Funkhouser chatted with ABCon organiser Kenechukwu Ogbuagu about their latest project 14 Board Games from Africa.

Trogdor!! The Board Game
For centuries, the legendary wingaling dragon Trogdor the Burninator has terrorized the peasant kingdom of Peasantry with his scorching flames and greased-up beefy arm. Now, he has descended from the mountains once again and will not stop until he burninates the entire countryside and all those unfortunate enough to get in his way!
Trogdor!! The Board Game is for 2-6 players. It is created by Mike and Matt Chapman, with the help of James Ernest from Cheapass Games. The campaign is being run by Homestar Runner, and has a goal of AUD$101,015 which it has exceeded with 24 days to go. This is the first Kickstarter, and board game, by Homestar Runner.
