What happened in the world of tabletop over the last week?

BGG acquired the Tabletop.Events platform, and revealed that they will be cancelling BGG CON and hosting Virtual Gaming Con.

Founder and president of Stronghold Games, Steven Buonocore, announced that he will be retiring in August. With Steven’s departure Sydney Engelstein will be taking on the role of Director of Game Development.

Hideous Abomination: A vile tile-laying game

How hard can it be to build a monster? Some fangs here. Razor claws there. Slap it all together, and voila! An abomination is born. But it get trickier when you are creating to order. Even harder when there are other mad scientists also building their own monstrosities.

Hideous Abomination is a tile laying game for 2-5 people. It has a goal of AUD$53,926 and has so far raised over AUD$13,800 with 25 days to go. The campaign is being run b Judson Cowan, and is his first.
