This past week on the tabletop

02/09/2018 – 08/09/2018

What happened in the world of tabletop over the last week?

John Blanche has always been the conceptual lynch pin of Game Workshop. But the company’s newest Kill Team offering looks like it is leaning into John’s popular aesthetic hard.

Tabletop games are often promoted as for everyone, but not all people have the same physical abilities. Ertay Shashko on Sightless Fun explored some things to know when playing with blind people.

From wargames to licensed board games, Alessio Cavatore has had a hand in them all. Andy from BlackJack Legacy caught up with the prolific game designer at River Horse Games HQ.

Game Dev Talks in South Australia began sharing some video from its recent event. In particular, Dr Mike Cooper talking about mathematical modelling for roleplay games.

Eye for an Eye: An Occulite Arena Combat Boardgame relaunch

Ready to defend your tribe’s honour? Eye for an Eye is a dice driven real-time arena combat game for 2-6 players. Roll your dice, allocate them to actions on your player board and tribal cards and then call these out in real-time to carry them out on the board.

Eye for an Eye is designed and published by Darwin Games. It has a AUD$42,000 goal and has currently raised over AUD$12,000 with 25 days to go. This is the second time this version of Eye for an Eye has sought funding on Kickstarter. Previous games include Dawn: Rise of the Occulites, successfully funded on Kickstarter through Eagle-Gryphon Games, and Survival.
