This past week on the tabletop

04/02/2018 – 10/02/2018

What happened in the world of tabletop over the last week?

More are absorbed by the unstoppable force engulfing reality. This time it is Lookout Games and Mayfair Games who are acquired by Asmodee.

If you had previously asked D&D fans what new content may suddenly appear this week, I bet they wouldn’t have indicated a new Gentleman class created by Old Spice.

Creator Michael Cthulhu calls this “a dumb game about mechanized fighting potatoes”. We call it inspired!

Ella from Laminating Boardgames gave geeks everywhere a rundown on CanCon.

The article isn’t really clear whether they have been playing the same campaign for 35 years, or just D&D for that long. Either way, it is quite the impressive effort.

British vs Pirates Volume 2

Take control of a fleet of ships and face off against the rival factions in a fight for territory and treasure. Which player will control the waves, sending all opposition to Davey Jones Locker?

British vs Pirates Volume 2 is for 2-6 players and takes 90 minutes to play. The Kickstarter is being run by Apollo Randall, and is the sequel to British vs Pirates Volume 1. Volume 1 is Apollo’s previous Kickstarter campaign, which successfully funded and was sent to backers in October 2017.

Volume 2 currently has AUD$44,665 pledged, and has a goal of AUD$64,266 with 19 days to go.
