Penny Arcade reveals the new tabletop event PAX Unplugged

PAX Unplugged

Who doesn’t want another chance to play tabletop games? The people behind Penny Arcade thought as much, and have announced the addition of a new PAX to their line-up: PAX Unplugged.

PAX Unplugged will draw much of its inspiration from the other PAX events, though with a complete focus on tabletop gaming. With the first one to be held this year, 17-19 November, attendees can expect the same magnitude and quality as the other PAX events. Though without a screen or monitor in sight.

“With the rise of popularity of board games, we wanted to provide a dedicated space where fans can come together,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder, Penny Arcade. “We will continue to have tabletop games at every PAX, but Unplugged will focus on stepping away from the TV, monitor and phone to foster face-to-face multiplayer experiences.”

The new event was announced at PAX South over the weekend, and will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, USA. You can find out all the details, and order tickets when they are released in a few months, on the website.
