With the game of Warhammer in a state of uncertainty, and the soon to be released Age of Sigmar on the horizon, the rats over at The Under Empire Forum have decided to take things into their own hands. If the promises of their beloved race, the Skaven, weren’t going to be officially fulfilled, then they would just do it themselves!
Started on 1 June, it is called After the Ascension and tasks members with creating fiction about how the Skaven took over the Warhammer world, or the world that has emerged after Skaven rule. It is open to all members, so all you have to do is sign up and start writing.
If you aren’t familiar with the game Warhammer and its lore, the Skaven are a race of super-intelligent ratmen. They believe that one day their god, The Horned Rat, will enter the Warhammer world and result in the Skaven dominating the planet.
