The Greatest Unreality

The Greatest Unreality: Story, Play, and Imagination in D&D is A fieldwork-based dissertation exploring the importance of storytelling, play, and the imagination in the modern world. The author, Nicholas Mizer, is currently looking for funding for this project on Kickstarter.

It looks really interesting, and if conducted in an unbiased and scientific manner, could actually yield some beneficial results. Results that could eventually lead to not only a better understand of how roleplaying games effect humans, but influence the entire tabletop gaming industy as a whole.

There is only 8 days left, and at the moment the project has not reached its funding goal. So head over there and drop some cash to help get this dissertation off the ground.
