This past weekend I headed to The Old Reynella Festival of History, a two day event south of Adelaide, South Australia. I was there primarily to see the wargame displays by the likes of Southern Wargamers, Garrison Wargaming Club, and a Warmachine tournament run by Issue 3’s Featured Hobbyist, Terry Masson. This gave me a great opportunity to talk to the community about The Campaigner, wargames in general, and take a whole bunch of pictures.
While I was there I also decided to take in some of the other sites. These included medival combat displays, firing of military cannons and machine guns, as well as a multitude of other displays to see and experience. Issue 4 will feature an in depth look at the festival, along with some photos. However, I have uploaded a small selection of images onto The Campaigner Facebook page. Here you can see some of the wargame displays, as well as a variety of the other experiences on offer.
And if you haven’t already, don’t forget to check out Issue 3!
